Friendhash (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, disclose, retain, and protect information when you access or use Friendhash, including our website, mobile application, social features, marketplace, messaging services, Flix, and other related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Where applicable, we will request your permission before accessing information from your device that requires permission under applicable law or your device's operating system.
The information we collect depends on how you use Friendhash and which features you choose to use.
Friendhash may process content that you voluntarily create, upload, send, receive, or otherwise make available through the Platform, including posts, comments, images, videos, profiles, and messages.
Our current messaging system is not end-to-end encrypted. Messages may therefore be processed and stored by Friendhash as necessary to provide, secure, moderate, and maintain the messaging service. Users should avoid sending highly confidential or sensitive information through Friendhash messaging.
When you choose to use location-based features, Friendhash may collect and process location information from your device. Location information may be used to provide features such as Nearby People, location-based posts, products, listings, recommendations, search results, and other location-relevant content.
Depending on the features you use and the permissions you provide, Friendhash may retain location information associated with your account so that we can provide and personalize location-based features and content. We may also use location information for security, fraud prevention, analytics, and other legitimate Platform purposes.
Friendhash does not require continuous background location access for the Nearby People feature. Where location access is requested, we will use the permission and information provided by your device and applicable operating system.
When you choose to use the Find Friends feature, Friendhash may request permission to access contacts stored on your device. This access is used to identify people in your contacts who are already registered on Friendhash and help you discover those connections.
Friendhash is designed to minimize the information processed from your contacts. We do not intentionally create Friendhash accounts or profiles for people who are not Friendhash users solely because their information appears in your contacts, and we do not use your address book to create shadow profiles of non-users.
For friend discovery, contact information may be normalized or transformed into technical identifiers, including hashed or otherwise protected representations, for the purpose of matching against identifiers associated with existing Friendhash accounts.
Contact information that is not necessary for the requested matching operation is not intended to be retained for unrelated purposes. Technical information required to prevent abuse, duplicate processing, or fraudulent reward claims may be retained where reasonably necessary.
Where technical identifiers are retained for fraud prevention or reward verification, they are limited to information reasonably necessary for those purposes and are not used to create profiles of people who are not Friendhash users.
When you submit feedback, suggestions, bug reports, ratings, or other information directly to Friendhash, we may collect the information you provide and technical information reasonably necessary to understand, investigate, and resolve the issue.
Friendhash may use cookies, local storage, pixels, analytics technologies, and similar mechanisms to maintain sessions, remember preferences, provide functionality, understand usage, improve performance, maintain security, and measure the effectiveness of our services and communications.
We use information collected through Friendhash for purposes including:
The Nearby People feature allows you to voluntarily discover Friendhash users who may be located near you. When you choose to use this feature, Friendhash may obtain your current device location and use it to perform proximity or distance calculations.
Nearby People is designed to operate while you are actively using the applicable feature. Friendhash does not require background location access for this feature and does not intentionally perform continuous background location tracking for Nearby People.
Friendhash may retain location information associated with your account for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and personalize location-based features and services, including location-based posts, products, listings, recommendations, search results, and Nearby People features.
The retention period may vary depending on the type of location information, the feature for which it was collected, your account settings, and our operational, security, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements.
Where precise location information is not necessary for a particular feature, Friendhash may use or retain a less precise or approximate location instead. We may delete, anonymize, aggregate, or otherwise reduce the precision of location information when it is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
The Find Friends feature allows you to discover people already registered on Friendhash who may be present in your device contacts. Contact access is requested only when you choose to use this feature.
Friendhash does not intentionally create user accounts, public profiles, or social profiles for people who are not registered Friendhash users merely because their contact information appears in another user's address book.
You may deny or withdraw location or contact permissions through your device settings, where supported by your operating system. Withdrawing permission may prevent the associated discovery feature from functioning but will not prevent you from using other Friendhash features that do not require the relevant permission.
Withdrawing contact permission does not automatically delete contact-related matching or reward-verification records that may have already been processed. You may request deletion of contact-related matching data associated with your use of the Find Friends feature, subject to information that Friendhash may reasonably need to retain for fraud prevention, security, duplicate reward prevention, or legal obligations.
Friendhash may provide Hashes, badges, achievements, or other in-app rewards for completing optional activities that support the use, improvement, security, or development of Friendhash features.
Where a reward is offered for Nearby People or Find Friends, the reward is associated with completion of the applicable Friendhash feature and is not intended to be a payment for the sale or transfer of a user's personal data.
Friendhash may provide rewards for genuine feedback, suggestions, usability reports, or bug reports that help us improve the Platform. Rewards are not dependent upon feedback being positive. Negative, neutral, or positive feedback may be submitted.
Friendhash does not provide Hashes, badges, discounts, or other rewards in exchange for submitting, changing, maintaining, or deleting a Google Play rating or review. Any request to rate or review Friendhash on Google Play is voluntary, and users are free to provide an honest and independent rating or review based on their actual experience.
Friendhash may process limited information necessary to determine whether a reward activity has been completed and whether a reward has already been issued. Information used for reward verification may be retained as reasonably necessary to prevent duplicate claims, fraud, automation, abuse, or manipulation of the reward system.
We may share information in the following circumstances and only to the extent reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose:
We may share information with vendors, contractors, hosting providers, infrastructure providers, analytics providers, payment processors, logistics providers, security providers, communication providers, and other service providers that perform services on our behalf.
Where necessary to complete a transaction, we may share relevant information with sellers, buyers, courier or logistics providers, payment providers, and other parties involved in fulfilling an order or providing a requested service.
Information that you voluntarily make public through your profile, posts, comments, videos, listings, or other Platform features may be visible to other users or the public depending on the applicable feature and your privacy settings.
We may work with business partners, advertising providers, and technology providers to operate, promote, measure, or improve Friendhash. We do not sell a user's contact address book or location information as a standalone data product.
We may disclose limited information to courts, regulators, government authorities, law enforcement agencies, or other parties where required by applicable law, lawful legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, and property of Friendhash, our users, or others.
If Friendhash is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
You may view and update certain personal information through your Friendhash account and settings.
You may control or withdraw certain device permissions, including contact and location permissions, through your device settings where supported by the operating system.
You may opt out of certain promotional communications by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication or by contacting us. You may continue to receive essential service-related communications.
You may request deletion of your personal information, including location-related information associated with your account, subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, and legitimate operational requirements. Certain information may need to be retained for a period where required or reasonably necessary for these purposes.
Where applicable and technically feasible, you may request a copy of certain personal information in a commonly used or portable format.
To make a privacy-related request or ask a question about your information, contact us using the contact details provided in Section 15.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, loss, or destruction. These measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, logging, secure infrastructure, and other security practices.
However, no electronic transmission, storage system, or internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should also take reasonable steps to protect your account credentials and device.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing services, maintaining accounts, completing transactions, preventing fraud and abuse, resolving disputes, maintaining security, and complying with legal obligations.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods. Transaction, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, and legally required records may be retained for longer periods where reasonably necessary.
Information that is no longer required for a legitimate purpose may be deleted, anonymized, aggregated, or otherwise securely disposed of, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
Friendhash may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, analytics tools, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, provide functionality, analyze usage, improve performance, maintain security, and understand how users interact with the Platform.
Where applicable, you may control cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling certain technologies may affect the availability or functionality of some Platform features.
Friendhash is not intended for children under 18 years of age, or such higher minimum age as may be required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age without appropriate authorization.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances where such collection was not permitted, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information in accordance with applicable law.
Parents or guardians who believe that a child may have provided personal information to Friendhash may contact us using the contact information provided in this Privacy Policy.
Friendhash has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and prohibited content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of children.
If you encounter content or behavior involving suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation, please report it through the available reporting tools or contact: report@friendhash.com
Friendhash may use infrastructure, hosting providers, service providers, or other technology resources located in countries outside the country in which you reside. As a result, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws.
Where required by applicable law, we will take reasonable measures intended to provide appropriate protection for personal information transferred internationally.
The Platform may integrate with or contain links to third-party services, websites, applications, payment providers, social networks, advertising services, analytics services, or other third-party platforms.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Friendhash is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties that operate independently from Friendhash. We encourage users to review the applicable privacy policies before providing information to third-party services.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, technologies, data practices, or applicable legal requirements. When we make changes, we will publish the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform and may provide additional notice where required.
Your continued use of Friendhash after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
